As we all know, tower cranes play an indispensable optimus prime role in construction, transportation and other industries due to their towering posture and a huge pulling force. However, how to maintain the balance of the tower crane has become an unforgivable problem in safety products and even in the design and manufacture of the tower crane.

As you have learned from basic mechanics, a lever consists of three parts-a power arm, a resistance army, and a support point. The length of the power arm multiplied by the power applied to it is equal to the product of the length of the resistance arm multiplied by the resistance encountered, that is, the moments at both ends are equal, and the balance of the lever can be maintained. Although the structure of the tower crane is very complicated, it can be regarded as a lever as a whole. The counterweight and the force of the lifted object on the crane are the two forces added to this lever.

Unlike ordinary levers, the common center of gravity of the crane, heavy object, and counterweight will not be out of the base platform (or supported by wheels on the rails) when the counterweight of the tower crane performs different lifting tasks. The distance between the two, so that the two ends are aligned, raises the building material to a high place.

In the lifting operation, the speed of turning and luffing is not required to be too fast, but it must be able to start and brake smoothly, to achieve stepless speed regulation and frequency conversion control is ideal.

The tail dimension of the lower swing crane is the maximum turning radius from the turning center to the tail of the turntable (including the weight), and the tail dimension of the upper swing crane is the maximum turning radius from the turning centerline to the tail of the balance arm (including the weight).
